Preliminary sketch for a drawing of a Sopwith Camel biplane that I’m currently working on. I like to make these sketches to get a feel for a subject, it’s dimensions, shape and materials. And to make it less daunting.

Line drawing of cardboard box, with basic shading. Work in progress.

Hatching practice. I find it really difficult to get a nice consistent dense hatching with Paper.

Screen capture of ‘Romeo and Juliet on drawing table’. (Speeded up 8 times)

Romeo and Juliet on the drawing table. Redrawn version of an old drawing.

The drawing has rather thick outlines, because I’d like to use it for a pin button design. When scaling down the image, the outlines become thinner. I’ve recorded a screen capture video, which you can find here.

Update: I’ve added the final version for the button design. It has a 1 inch diameter at a resolution of 300 dpi. So it might look blown up and blurry on your screen, but it’s tiny when printed.

From bunny-drawing to bunny-button!
(I’ve had these pin buttons made at Button Toko - sorry, Dutch only)
See this post for the original drawing.

A larger version of the rabbit hole button badge design, made with Paper, of course. I’ve used a jar to make a template, it’s not perfect but good enough. I’ve imported the final version in Pixelmator to add a signature and clean up the outline of the port/rabbit hole.

I’ve sent the drawing to a company to make few small sized buttons (1” or 25 mm, and can’t wait to see how they’ll look.

Shaded open box, again top down one point perspective. (Shading according to the principles of half way to black)
